Description

Recombinant human WEE1 (WEE1 G2 checkpoint kinase), encompassing amino acids 215-646 (end). In this construct the N-terminal end of WEE1 is fused with GST. A short peptide linker placed between GST and the protein includes a thrombin cleavage site to facilitate removal of the GST portion. The recombinant protein was affinity purified.

Assay Conditions

Wee1 activity was confirmed using the Wee1 Assay Kit (BPS Bioscience #79909) with Wee1 titrated from 480 ng/rxn- 7.5 ng/rxn and 20 µM ATP used instead of 10 µM ATP as instructed in the kit.

Instructions for Use

Thaw on ice and gently mix prior to use. DO NOT VORTEX. Perform a quick spin before opening. Aliquot into small volumes and flash freeze for long term storage. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Applications

Useful for the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling.
