Chemiluminescent Assay Kits

Chemiluminescent plate-based assays are a simple method to screen for inhibitors of known protein interactions. The general principle is similar to an ELISA in which one protein partner is coated onto a plate surface followed by incubation with the second protein. This is followed by an antibody conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) that detects the second binding partner. Unbound components are washed away after each step. The final readout is based on the overall activity of HRP in the well, which, in the presence of ECL substrate, produces a chemiluminescent signal.
