Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase Screening & Profiling

Protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs) are enzymes that dephosphorylate proteins with a phosphate group on tyrosine residues, counteracting the effects of protein kinases and providing a mechanism for tightly controlled regulation of signaling processes related to cell proliferation, metabolism, motility, synaptic plasticity, and survival. Altered expression or function of PTPs have been implicated in human diseases such as cancer, diabetes, infectious, neuropsychiatric, autoimmune, and cardiovascular disorders. Despite challenges, targeting PTPs remains a critical priority for drug development.

We provide a selection of PTP screening services for both receptor-like and non-receptor PTPs. Our team of experts, using our in-house developed biochemical assay kits, can provide:

  • Screening for activity and selectivity across our full panel or just select targets
  • Determination of IC50
  • Project guidance and questions answered in a timely manner
  • Delivery of detailed results promptly and on time

This diagram illustrates the processes of tyrosine phosphorylation and dephosphorylation and lists possible outcomes for proteins that are phosphorylated.

If follow-up studies are required, we can provide the same active proteins as the ones used in our assays.
