The IKKβ Kinase Assay Kit is designed to measure the kinase activity of IKKβ for screening and profiling applications using Kinase-Glo® MAX as a detection reagent.
The assay kit comes in a convenient 96-well format, with enough purified recombinant IKKβ kinase, kinase substrate, ATP, and kinase assay buffer for 100 enzyme reactions.

Background
The IKKβ (inhibitor of nuclear factor kappa B kinase subunit beta) is a protein subunit encoded by the IKβKβ (inhibitor of kappa light polypeptide gene enhancer in B-cells, kinase beta) gene which activates NF-κB (nuclear factor kappa-light chain enhancer of activated B cells) signaling. NF-κB is a family of transcription factors that regulate gene expression in a variety of tissue types. Mutations in IKKB result in defective NF-κB signaling leading to immunological disorders. Exploring novel mutations in IKKB may elucidate the causation of sporadic and unexplained diseases.
