This anti-CD235a antibody is a purified recombinant antibody, which is labeled with R-Phycoerythrin (PE). This antibody has been tested in flow cytometry assay for specific binding to human CD235a on the surface of CD235a CHO Recombinant Cell Line (BPS Bioscience #78353).

PE is an oligomeric protein complex (270 kDa) from red algae that exhibits intensely bright red-orange fluorescence with excitation peak at 566 nm and an emission peak at 574 nm. The complex consists of six heterodimers, α subunit (18 kDa) and β-subunit (20 kDa), and an additional γ-subunit (34 kDa).
Storage/Stability
At least 6 months at 4°C. Protect from prolonged exposure to light. DO NOT FREEZE. The antibody solution should be stored undiluted between 2°C and 8°C.
Assay Conditions
One million CD235a CHO recombinant cells (BPS Bioscience #78353) were blocked and stained with 1 µg of anti-CD235a antibody, PE-labeled (BPS Bioscience #101675) for 30 minutes on ice, washed three times, and analyzed by flow cytometry. CD235a CHO recombinant cells (green) were compared to parental CHO-K1 cells (blue). Y-axis is the cell count. X-axis is PE intensity.
Applications
Useful for studying expression of CD235a on the cell surface in flow cytometry assay. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is 5 µl (1 µg antibody) per million cells in 100 µl staining volume.
