Background

Protein tyrosine phosphatase which stimulates progression from G1 into S phase during mitosis. Promotes tumors. Inhibits geranylgeranyl transferase type II activity by blocking the association between RABGGTA and RABGGTB.

Assay Conditions

Assay was done in a 50 µl reaction with 50 mM MOPS, pH 7.0, 3 mM DTT, 10 µM DiFMUP, and various amounts of PRL2 for 30 min incubation at room temperature.

Instructions for Use

Thaw on ice and gently mix prior to use. DO NOT VORTEX. Perform a quick spin before opening. Aliquot into small volumes and flash freeze for long term storage. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Applications

Useful for the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling.
