Description

Recombinant humanNSD3 (nuclear receptor binding SET domain protein 3), encompassing amino acids 1021-1322. This construct contains an N-terminal GST-tag. A short peptide linker placed between GST and the protein includes a PreScission Protease Cleavage Site to facilitate removal of the GST portion. The recombinant protein was affinity purified.

Background
NSD3 is a histone methyltransferase that preferentially methylates Lys4 and Lys27 of histone H3. Lys4 methylation usually represents a specific tag for epigenetic transcriptional activation, while Lys27 is a mark for transcriptional repression.
