Soluble in ethanol up to 50 mM or DMSO at 5 mg/ml
Biological Activity
Vinpocetine is selective for PDE1: IC50 = 21 µM, vs. PDE3: IC50 = 300 µM (bovine heart). Vinpocetine inhibits differently the various subtypes of PDE1 (IC50 from 8 to 50 µm). It is also reported to inhibit PDE7B with an IC50 of 60 µM, and it can have effects on Heat Shock Factor 1 (EC5050 = 195 µM) and ADH-induced lipid peroxidation ( IC50 = 137 µM in rat brain microsome).
