Background
CECR2 (cat eye syndrome chromosome region candidate 2) is an epigenetic factor containing a bromodomain able to recognize acetylated lysines. It is involved in DNA Damage Responses (DDR), neurulation, spermatogenesis, and reprogramming. It has been linked to cancer and was identified as an epigenetic driver of metastatic breast cancer. It can form a complex with RELA (v-rel avian reticuloendotheliosis viral oncogene homolog A), increasing the access to chromatin of EMT (epithelial-mesenchymal transition) related genes and NF-κB (nuclear factor kappa B) target genes. The use of CECR2 inhibitors, such as GNE-886 and NVS-CECR2-1, is a promising area in cancer therapy.

At least 6 months at -80°C.
Assay Conditions
Assay was performed according to CECR2 TR-FRET Assay Kit (BPS Bioscience #32622) with various concentrations of CeCR2.
Instructions for Use
Thaw on ice and gently mix prior to use. DO NOT VORTEX. Perform a quick spin before opening. Aliquot into small volumes and flash freeze for long term storage. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Applications
Useful for the study of bromodomain binding assays, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling.
