IL-17 Screening Services
Interleukin 17, or IL-17, is a cytokine that is produced by T-helper cells and works to promote inflammation. Additionally, IL-17 serves an important role in cellular processes regarding autoimmunity and host defense. Many types of diseases which result in chronic inflammation have been linked to IL-17 including psoriasis, arthritis, and Crohn's disease.
Inflammation is promoted through binding of IL-17 to a receptor called IL-17R. When this binding occurs, neutrophils and monocytes receive signals to migrate to inflamed areas. The inhibition of IL-17:IL-17R signaling is a promising field of immunotherapy related research. Inhibiting this binding interaction could help serve as a means to treat inflammation and prevent plaque build-up and several therapeutic IL-17 antagonistic antibodies are in development.
BPS Bioscience offers an IL-17 RA [Biotin] : IL-17 A Inhibitor Screening Assay Kit. This assay kit serves as a tool for screening inhibitors of IL-17A:IL-17RA interaction. Biotin-labeled IL-17RA is incubated with IL-17A and then treated with streptavidin-HRP. When an HRP substrate is added, chemiluminescence is produced. The results of this assay are measured through a chemiluminescenct plate reader. The kit has been validated with an Anti-IL-17A Neutralizing Antibody.
In addition to this assay kit, BPS offers IL-17 screening and profiling services. Trust us to provide you with high quality data with fast turnaround time. Our team of experts along with our broad services portfolio makes it easy to:
