Recombinant human FAK (Focal adhesion kinase 1), also known as PTK2, encompassing amino acids 411-686 corresponding to the protein kinase domain. In this construct the N-terminal end of the kinase domain is fused with GST. The protein was affinity purified.

Assay Conditions

Assay was done according to the FAK Kinase Assay Kit (BPS Bioscience #40722) with FAK titrated from 320 ng/rxn – 5 ng/rxn with 20 µM ATP instead of 10 µM ATP.

Instructions for Use

Thaw on ice and gently mix prior to use. DO NOT VORTEX. Perform a quick spin before opening. Aliquot into small volumes and flash freeze for long term storage. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Applications

Useful for the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling.
