Assay Conditions

BirA (16 µg/ml) completely biotinylated 10 µM of Avi-tag substrate at 30°C for 30 minutes in reaction buffer containing 50 mM Bicine pH 8.3, 10 mM ATP, 10 mM MgOAc, and 50 µM d-Biotin.

Instructions for Use

Thaw on ice and gently mix prior to use. DO NOT VORTEX. Perform a quick spin before opening. Aliquot into small volumes and flash freeze for long term storage. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Applications

Useful for covalently biotin-labeling of acceptor proteins for detection and purification assays.
