Assay Conditions

BirA activity was confirmed using in vitro biotinylation of CBL-B by Western Blot. Lane 1: Standard; Lane 2: CBL-B, His-Avi-Tag (BPS Bioscience #80414); Lane 3: CBL-B, His-Avi-Tag (BPS Bioscience #80414) and BirA His-FLAG-Tags (E. coli) (BPS Bioscience 70030); Lane 4: CBL-B, His-Avi-Tag, Biotin-labeled (BPS Bioscience #80412). Protein loading was confirmed by Coomassie.

Instructions for Use

Thaw on ice and gently mix prior to use. DO NOT VORTEX. Perform a quick spin before opening. Aliquot into small volumes and flash freeze for long term storage. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Applications

Useful for covalently biotin-labeling of acceptor proteins for detection and purification assays.
